Vinita Nair
In July 2004 she was hired by the station as a reporter and reported on a wide range of stories. These included the investigation into the murder of Jon Benet Ramsey and the shootings that occurred in Bailey, Colorado. Nair began working for ABC News as an anchor/correspondent for ABC News Now in December 2007. To fulfill her duties as a correspondent, Nair provided live reporting and briefings to ABC's networks. Nair was co-anchor of World News Now and America This Morning on ABC, from September 17th, 2008 from September 17, 2008, until February 18, 2011. On both shows Nair was initially paired together with Jeremy Hubbard then later Rob Nelson. On the 17th of February in 2011, Nair announced that Friday, February 18 would be her last night on air for World News Now. She would also have her final day working for ABC News. Peggy Bunker from KDVR Denver became her replacement immediately. World News Now, February 18 was the first of three segments that paid tribute to Nair. Both former and current colleagues also appeared in the segments. When she was done she treated the entire team to breakfast.
